Maiden Voyage - Lithia Springs Park

This was the maiden voyage of Kurmit, my 2013 Winnebago Minnie. Since I bought it used from Lazydays RV in Tampa, it comes with a 30 day warranty. I wanted to get it out and use it so I can test everything and make sure all is in working order.
I decided on Lithia Springs Park since it is only an hour drive from the house. When I got there, I booked 2 nights but wasn't sure if I was going to stay both or not.

When you get to Lithia Springs, the office shows you on a map which sites are available and they then have you drive through to pick which campsite you want. After you pick your campsite, you head back to the front of the park and do your registration.

Unfortunately the video I thought I had running when I arrived, was not running, so I only have video from the next day. Lithia Springs is a great little park. The campsites are very private and you have lots of woods around you. The only noise I had while there was from the occasional airplane flying overhead.

Camping is $24 per night and to swim in the spring is extra. Because I checked out a day early, they gave me a credit to come back for a night.

There is not a lot to do there, but if you're willing to walk a little, there is a 3 mile hiking trail just outside the park across the Alafia River. They do have swimming in the spring, a canoe and kayak launch, playground and some shelters. They do not currently rent canoes or kayaks, but say they will start sometime in April.

If you are passing by and need a place to stay for a night or a few days, this is a wonderful spot to stay. I will definitely be back with either Kermit or my tents and will be renting some kayaks so I can go down the river.
